Where did all the years go? It is 2020...

I just can't believe that so many years have past behind me and not posting.  A little catch up for anyone who happens to be watching my blog...

We've now been retired for 20 years. Married for 30 years and been with each other for 34 years! We are continuing each and every single day being strong with our Love for each other, Respect, Devotion and Friendship. Our Life is Wonderful.

We have had 4 different types of Recreational Vehicles and finally now we have the Grand Design - Momentum 381M. It is our traveling home on wheels and we enjoy as much time as possible to see our United States of America.  Including just relaxing at many of the same places we go to over and over the years.  You can almost say, we are Snowbirds. We enjoy the warmth when it is too cold for us at home.  When you get older, your body changes and we have changed.

August 30th, 2018, we were adopted by our Sweet Adorable Puppy named "Kitty". Her approximate birthday is June 1, 2017. Kitty is an American Staffordshire Terrier. She LOVES people, very devoted to us, our family including our friends.

Kitty's past was not perfect and especially not living a happy life, as I said, we were adopted...

My Prince Charming took me to our Local No-Kill St. George Shelter. We went up and down the line of to be adopted puppies (which all puppies no matter what age will always be puppies). Kitty picked us out.  She sat in her cage, looked at Ken and then me with a smile and wagging her tail. Not one single bark.  By the way, Kitty was the only relaxed puppy there.

The Animal Shelter Officer, Kristine, asked us if we thought we would like to meet Kitty. We said, yes.  Kristine said that Kitty loves being outside, runs, needs exercise and Loving attention.  Kitty was so anxious to go outside to the grass area where all the dogs run around.  She played, went potty and then immediately went to Ken! Kitty sat in front of him, snuggled and kissed him.  Then she turned to me and did the same thing.  That was it for us! She adopted us! Kitty was named Kitty and we continue to call her "Kitty".

Kitty loves traveling with us in our Home on Wheels, especially when she is in the ATV (RZR) going for a ride! Kitty has been the absolute perfect puppy for us.

She keeps us entertained, on our feet to keep us just as healthy as she is.  Kitty is very sensitive and knows when one of us is not feeling so great. As we are able to tell when it is a rare occasion she is not feeling so great.  I broke my nose and Kitty wanted to be by my side.

Sweet Kitty had a booster (2nd shot) for Leptos and her left shoulder swelled up and was heated. We called the doctor for help, of course we made her more comfortable with a couple of prescriptions. It lasted for over a week.  Boy, are we glad that she was a trooper!

One year since Kitty Adopted us, a fun Doggy Cupcake to celebrate!

Kitty playing with her friendly Lizard.

My hobbies have taken a backseat to our active lives but when I make a creation, I will try to load it up on the blog. Oh, I'm stampin' my nails now - well trying to especially when they are a nice length and not broken.

We will start a new posting about our travels when we are able to share them with pictures.  We shall say, it is so much fun to be able to RV, meet fantastic friends, go places and explore all at the same time having a time of our lives!

Surprise, I'm back Creating!

This creation was fun to do with just One (1) piece of paper!  Pick out your favorite 2-sided paper, you will need a punch or your Cricut or your cutting system that you enjoy using, some type of adhesive, one piece of lining paper to write a message and then just have fun!

Paper size is 12 x 8-1/2.  If you want to know additional information, please email me. Try looking at the pictures below and figuring it out.  By the way, this card will need a little large envelope, it does not fit an A2, 4-1/2 x 5-1/2.  This card is "slightly" larger.

You can see that I used two punches, one for the decorative edge and one for the heart.

Inside is a single piece of paper to write a message.

This is how the card will look when it is opened.
This picture shows you the full extension of the card.

This view is the back of the card.  I did use a stamp from Gina K. Designs.

It is nice to be back in my crafting room and creating once again!

Sending Festive Cards of Celebrations!

Creating cards for Hanukkah with the same stamp sets and idea is also wonderful for creating Christmas cards when making several.

All you do is change the colors that are associated with the holiday being celebrated.

Making another fun card because there is always one very special person who knows when you are nice and naughty!
So try not to forget about Santa Claus and all of the goodness and fun he brings to everyone's home!
This card took a lot more time and effort, with positioning layering using the Stamp-ma-jig, coloring, a lot of shine, applique, liquid pearls and sparkles using the gel pens, embossing gold adds a bit more texture and elegance and just think, this card is on one piece of card stock!  No extra postage and no lumps!

Each of these cards on this post were made with ONE piece of cardstock.  The first two were on glossy cardstock that is shiny and heavy but still a normal weight for the mailing. The Santa card was made on 120 lb. weight cardstock and again, normal weight for the mailing.  When making tons of cards, not only are you using a lot of supplies that can be costly, but the postage is going up and up all the time.  Get creative and make intricate cards on one piece of cardstock.

Of course, the envelopes is a must to decorate!
Both the back and front

Happy Hanukkah and Merry Christmas to all of you!
Enjoy the wonderful celebrations with your family and friends.
Say a prayer for those who are not as fortunate this year, please.

Much Love,

Gift Idea

We have a friend who had a knee replacement this week and will be in the rehabilitation center for a few weeks.  So I decided to make a quick and easy bookmark and I was able to laminate it with my Xyron so it will last through many books to read.

If you go to my "books" page, I have several book recommendations except this year I haven't had the opportunity to share with you all of the books I've read.  I've been busy reading and doing many other things besides posting on my blog.  I'm so bad and I know it.  I will update the books before the end of  2012 year.

Here is the back of the bookmark next to the book and please notice that the bookmark is long and 2-1/2 inches wide.  We also took the time to personalized this bookmark with our own message to our friend.   But you don't see the alcohol markers on the backside, well, that is because I doubled two exact size in measurements of papers and used adhesive to bond the papers together.  I don't like seeing the colors go through on some of my papers - besides, we wanted to write a message.  It all worked out nicely.  I then made the punch for the ribbon and Xyron it before placing the ribbon on.

A close-up picture of the bookmark.  I used alcohol (pens) markers called, Spectrum noir by Darice and I also used Copic markers.  BTW, the the Spectrum noir work the same way as Copic except the Spectrum I purchased at a local well-known Craft and FABRIC store who happens to share the same name of one of my girlfriends but she spells it differently, Jo-anne.  I was also extremely happy that I was able to use coupons to have a very reasonable price.  I have 6 pens to a package that is a fraction of the cost in comparison.  I see no difference in the two markers/pens that I used on this project with the exception of price.  There are a plethora of colors and as I mention, they come in a package of 6.  Check it out when your pocketbook needs to have some trimming and you need to have supplies.

My stamp sets are from many different companies in my collection and I wanted to match the ribbon with similar flowers and colors.  The phrase is from Dream Impressions, Bookmark Quotes - perfect I thought!

If you need a great gift for any occasion, think of this holiday season too, it would be a handmade project including personal wonderful gesture to share a book that you read yourself to give to a family member and your friends.

Happy World Card Making Day! 10-6-2012

This card is serving a few purposes, first as the Birthday Card to a wonderful man who will be celebrating 81 years young, my father-in-law.  Next, it just so happens to be Happy World Card Making Day, today!  Finally, I joined the fun at StampTV with the FauxLayers Challenge with this card.

It is the challenge from Gina K. Designs with this great technique to make a card look like it has layers when it doesn't.

Stamp Sets are all Gina K. Designs:
The Journey
Pleasant Plurals
Various Verses
Inside and Out
Signed with Love

I used Spellbinders large labels to create the layer look and used different shades of blue ink pads with my cloud stencil.  The ribbon is self-adhesive by DCVW.  Gave it a little shine/bling with Gelly Roll, Clear Star on the chrome and headlights.

This completed project is done on one piece of Gina K. Design 120lb Ivory Cardstock.

Thanks for visiting!

Anniversary Card in a Card

The cake itself is a card that I made with my Cricuit Expression and Design Studio.  (I have not yet had the opportunity to go online with the Cricut Online Studio).

Of course, I decorated the cake card with white daisies, strings of pearls and frosting edges with liquid pearls and the center of the daisy with liquid fabric for the 3D pop.

Since I was mailing this card and it is an Anniversary Card, I elected not to place the golden rings and bow at the base of the cake that I did on my original design.  I wanted to mention this specific detailed because if you use this card with a gift, the rings and ribbon really does finish it off for a wedding card with the gift.
When you open the Cake, I have the original copy of the 1980 Marriage Certificate placed inside.  I scanned the copy that we have of the marriage certificate, then I selected the size and printed it.

There are layers on layers with this very special Anniversary Card.  Inside is our personal message.

I wanted to share how this card stands up on its own plus I stamped the back with my signature.

It just so happens that I have a stamp with a "daisy" which says "hand stamped by" that I was able to coordinate the colors with the card.

Thanks so much for visiting with me and I hope I give you plenty of ideas for you to create.
