Fun Fishing Birthday Card

This card was created with layering and the top right corner folded on an angle.  I stamped the fishing rod directly onto the folded cardstock.  I stamped the cattails directly on top of the cardstock and the layered water.  I will admit that this process is not the easiest way to stamp but because you try and do it, shows detail and originality.

I stamped the double trout and single trout on white scrap paper in brown ink.  Then I pulled out my water coloring pencils and water brush to have the magic appear.  The blue water was also stamped completed with the same technique.  When all of it was dried (I used my heat tool to speed up the process and flatten my paper), I decided to have the trout shine and only parts of the water shine.  I used embossing pens to the specific areas and clear embossing powder then heat it up.  I like the water with one application but the fish needed more so I did it again and I was very pleased with the results.  It really pops out the colors bright!

The fishing rod was stamped in brown and colored in parts with blue and green pens.  The line I traced over (very carefully I might add) with Stardust Clear roll-on glitter.  The fly on the end of the line, I also traced over with red roll-on glitter.

The cattails I stamped in brown and colored in with green, then for the actual cattails I used Radiant Pearls for 3D and color.

Taking the same color scheme from the face of the card to continue the flow to the inside, I stamped Happy Birthday including a little hand-brushing of blue onto the brown cardstock for more character in this inside of the card.

Thanks for coming and checking out what I've created.
